First of all, I must apologize for the delay in getting updates and by extension activity in the RP. A chain of RL job-related obligations have systematically placed an increased strain on staff time which caused unacceptable delays. To address this for the future multiple changes will be made which will be addressed later on in this post. First of all however, there is the matter of points.
Due to the above mentioned circumstances we have retroactively applied points updates for the past 4 rounds. This means that everyone has been assigned between 4 and 20 points depending on rolls. Additionally the 15 global event points have also been applied to all nations. The updated point counts can be found at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1leNSjF_ELtszdzlxwO8393Gjh0sSDW9XQGDpnrr9iqk/edit?usp=sharing. Individual points obtained can be seen in the Point Awards tab for each country.
While delays such as those caused by recent events are unlikely to repeat, it has shown that there is a clear need for additional staff both during regular times as well as to have overlap during delays. As a result two types of moderator roles have been added to the Staff.
- Administrative Moderator: Administrative moderators are moderators tasked with a selection of the many background processes to keep the RP operational. These processes include, but are not limited to, point awards, random event generation, and in the future custom tech approvals.
- Enforcement Moderator: Enforcement moderators fulfill the more traditional role assumed for moderators, namely making sure that the rules of the RP are being followed and that quick action is taken against rulebreakers. Tasks include mediation of conflicts between roleplayers but also actions against those who violate Community/OOC rules. Enforcement moderators may issue suspensions from the websites and Discord for up to a maximum of 24 hours without approval from an administrator.
To start off the new system we are looking for two administrative moderators and one enforcement moderator. Those interested may send a PM to Cosmopean#9291 on Discord or Alexander via PM on the forums. Please when reaching out indicate which kind of position you are applying for and provide a motivation for why you would be the ideal candidate. We are aiming to fill all 3 slots by June 30th but may close them sooner if we have reached a sufficient amount of applications.
While points have been awarded, we will currently not be moving the in-game month ahead and anyone whose immunity has expired within the past 60 days or will expire in the next 30 days will have said immunity extended by 30 days starting today.If your immunity has already expired due to conflict roleplay, it will not be restored.
